Robert Carter’s interdisciplinary work follows strategies of engagement that blur the lines between the institution and the public space.
He uses sound, sculpture, interaction and performance to create situations with an eccentric, humorous character.
He asks questions about the nature of authority, the bounds of acceptable behaviour, and challenges expectations about the way objects should function.
